Functional wellness education

Start with the course.
Keep support only if you want it.

Human Performance Labs is an educational coaching program for people dealing with fatigue, brain fog, and low energy despite normal labs. Your intake maps your symptom pattern to a starting educational track — with self-paced curriculum and HPL Coach built around where you actually are. Platform access is optional after your first 3 months.

What HPL includes

What you get is not more information.
It is a sequence.

HPL combines curriculum, track context, and support tools around your starting pattern. Each component has a job: orient, teach, support, or refine. Nothing is generic — everything is organized around where your intake starts you.

Learn
Track-specific curriculum Self-paced video modules built around your assigned track. Mechanism first, then sequence.
Educational sequence A structured order so you know what to focus on and what to layer in next.
Support
HPL Coach AI wellness assistant calibrated to your track. Available 24/7. Not medical advice.
Optional track community Accountability groups by track. Join or skip — the curriculum works either way.
Foundation
Intake and track matching Your 15-minute intake establishes your starting point. Adjustable as you progress.
Advisor-reviewed content Educational material reviewed by Dr. Coby Hanes, DC, for research alignment. Not clinical care.
Four tracks. One starting point.

The intake points you toward the track that best matches your pattern.

Most people recognize themselves in one of four patterns. Each track is built around a physiological system the research associates with energy and cognitive function.

You may relate most to one of these patterns. The intake questionnaire identifies your starting track — it is not a diagnosis.

You may recognize this pattern
  • Energy that drops noticeably after meals
  • Brain fog that comes and goes without an obvious cause
  • Digestive symptoms alongside fatigue — bloating, irregularity
  • Skin issues that seem connected to what you eat
The curriculum covers
  • Gut permeability and the gut-brain axis
  • Microbiome diversity and its role in systemic energy
  • Inflammation markers and dietary drivers
  • Elimination sequencing and absorption optimization
Full track details →
You may recognize this pattern
  • Hardest to function in the morning regardless of sleep
  • Sensitivity to cold, sluggish metabolism
  • Weight that resists effort without a clear reason
  • Mental slowness that feels metabolic, not emotional
The curriculum covers
  • T3/T4 conversion and what affects it
  • Metabolic rate, iodine, selenium, and thyroid nutrition
  • Hormonal timing and circadian impact on metabolism
  • Lab reference ranges vs. optimal functional ranges
Full track details →
You may recognize this pattern
  • Alert or wired late at night, hard to wind down
  • Energy collapses in the mid-afternoon
  • Sleep that doesn’t feel restorative even when long enough
  • Anxiety or low resilience to everyday stressors
The curriculum covers
  • HPA axis function and cortisol rhythm patterns
  • Circadian regulation and light exposure
  • Stress-adaptation nutrition and supplement sequencing
  • Sleep architecture and recovery optimization

You may recognize this pattern
  • Symptoms across multiple categories without one dominant driver
  • Low baseline energy with no single system to blame
  • Earlier in the process — building foundational habits first
  • Unsure which track fits, or relate to pieces of all three
The curriculum covers
  • Mitochondrial function and cellular energy production
  • Foundational nutrition, sleep, and movement context
  • Broad systems overview across gut, thyroid, and HPA axis
  • Supplementation basics and sequencing principles

The program sequence

The goal is not more information.
It is a clearer sequence.

Five stages from intake to an ongoing, lower-guesswork practice. Each stage builds on the last.

01

Intake

Complete the 15-minute intake questionnaire. Your symptoms, history, and lab context establish your starting point. The intake is not reviewed by Dr. Hanes as individual clinical care — it identifies your educational starting track.

02

Track

Receive your starting educational track. You are not locked in — if a different track resonates more clearly after reviewing the options, you can adjust. Mitochondrial & Cellular Energy covers mixed or unclear patterns and is the most common starting track.

03

Learn

Work through your track curriculum at your own pace. Video modules cover the systems, the research, and the concepts relevant to your pattern — with the mechanism explained, not just the recommendation.

04

Apply

Use HPL Coach to ask questions, go deeper, and get context as you work through the curriculum. The program teaches you what the research says. You decide what to try — in consultation with your healthcare provider.

05

Refine

As you progress through the curriculum, you build a clearer picture of what to focus on next. Optional community support by track is available for accountability and shared experience throughout the process.

Program access

Two access options.

Is HPL right for you?

Honest about who this serves.

For you if
You feel tired, foggy, or low-energy despite being told your labs are normal.
You want an educational sequence, not another pile of random tips.
You want to understand the mechanism behind the plan, not just the recommendation.
You are willing to follow a self-paced process over 30–90 days.
Not for you if
You need urgent or emergency medical care — please see a qualified provider.
You are looking for a diagnosis or an individual treatment plan.
You expect personalized clinical care or direct review from Dr. Hanes.
You are not willing to engage with a self-paced educational process.

Common questions

Before you get started.

No. HPL is educational coaching. The program teaches you what the research says about lifestyle factors associated with energy and cognitive performance. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace care from your licensed clinician. You are encouraged to work alongside your healthcare provider while using HPL.

HPL is an educational coaching program for people dealing with fatigue, brain fog, low energy, and inconsistent recovery despite being told their labs are normal. The program uses a 15-minute intake to assign a starting educational track, then delivers a self-paced curriculum, HPL Coach, and optional community support built around that track.

After enrollment, a short intake questionnaire maps your symptoms and history to a starting educational track. It is not a diagnosis or treatment plan — it identifies which of four tracks best matches your pattern: Gut–Immune–Brain Axis, Thyroid & Metabolic Function, Adrenal & Stress Response, or Mitochondrial & Cellular Energy. You can review and adjust your track if something fits better.

HPL Coach is an AI wellness assistant trained around your educational track. It helps you understand the curriculum, get context on concepts, and stay oriented throughout the program. It is not a doctor, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional care.

Each track’s curriculum covers the physiological systems most relevant to that pattern — explaining the mechanism, the research, and the sequence. All tracks include educational modules on nutrition, sleep, movement, and supplementation concepts. Educational content is reviewed by Dr. Coby Hanes, DC, for research alignment.

The Track Course ($149 founding, normally $249) is the full curriculum — video modules, educational sequence, intake, and HPL Coach. It includes 3 months of Platform Access at no extra charge. After those 3 months, Platform Access ($10/month founding, normally $20/month) is optional. Platform Access adds HPL Coach, community support, and track resources for as long as you want it. No separate subscription is charged during the included period.
